Warranty

General Warranty

Only applies to furniture used in domestic settings and only when the furniture and parts are cared for and cleaned in accordance with the care instructions.
Do not extend to cover furniture which, in the opinion of Furniture Forum have been caused by normal wear and tear, or has been damaged or made defective through abuse, negligence or misuse.

Are issued only to the original purchaser and are not assignable or transferable.
Shipping, handling, and freight costs are covered for 12 months from the date of the original purchase. After this 12-month period, whilst the product is still covered under manufacturing warranty, any and all transportation charges are to be covered by the purchaser.

To receive the benefits of this warranty you must retain proof of purchase. Please contact the retail dealer from whom you made the purchase.

A SPECIAL NOTE ON LEATHER AND FABRICS: the leather/fabric warranty in this booklet does not apply where there is evidence of excessive soiling, improper leaning, abuse or where the leather/fabric has had chemical treatment applied by the retail dealer or consumer which has not previously been approved in writing by Furniture Forum. Please do not move furniture by pulling on leather or fabric.
The lounge is designed to support 120 kilograms. Anything more than this will void the warranty.

Structural Warranty – 5 YEARS

Take care not to sit on the arms or apply excessive weight to frames. A frame that is broken or damaged as a result of force is not deemed warrantable.
Furniture Forum will, within 5 years of the original sale of the product repair or replace, at Furniture Forums option, any part of the frame construction which is deemed to be defective in workmanship or materials.
Structural warranty does not include fabric, mechanisms, or suspension systems.

Cushions, Foams, Springs, Fillings, Suspension – 5 YEARS

Foam and springs will always soften with use. Areas of greater use are likely to soften earlier than unused areas. As a result, the upholstery covers show visible signs of being looser, also known as puddling.
The seat cushion foams and springs are warranted against defective materials or workmanship for 5 years from date of original purchase.

Fabric And Stitching – 1 YEAR

Furniture Forum will, within 1 year of the original sale of the product, replace any fabric which is found to be faulty as a result of the manufacturing process. This does not include fabric pilling as this can occur from natural wear and tear and should not be considered as a fault. Fiber pills can be removed by a pilling machine available from most haberdashery stores.

Recliner Action/Mechanism – 2 YEARS

Recliner actions are not intended to support weights over 125 kilograms.
Furniture Forum will, within 2 years of the original sale of the recliner action, repair or replace, at its own option, the recliner action if it is subject to technical faults that result in the action no longer working.

Electrical Components – 2 YEARS

Furniture Forum will, within 2 years of the original sale, replace or repair at its own discretion, electrical components if it is subject to technical faults that result in the electrical components no longer working.
Please do not place excess length of electric cable under the recliner chair. Wires will get caught in moving parts and result in a short circuit in the electrical system.

All Other Parts – 1 YEAR

All other parts not specifically warranted have a 1-year warranty against defective materials or workmanship. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective part.
